Frequently asked questions
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE/ WHAT IS THE COST OF SERVICES?
YES. Vital Parts Psychotherapy accepts both private pay and insurance clients at this time. In the states of Colorado and South Carolina, private pay clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, such as individual therapy. The cost of individual virtual therapy is $150 per 50 minute session. Therapy is an ongoing investment in your well-being, rather than a short-term solution, which should be considered before beginning. For more information about long-term cost, please reach out with questions.
Vital Parts Psychotherapy is paneled with the following insurance companies via Headway:
South Carolina: Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, Carelon Behavioral Health, Anthem EAP & Cigna.
Colorado: Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health, & Cigna
For clients with insurance who are out of network, a super bill can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, dependent upon your coverage.
A limited number of sliding scale opportunities are available for clients who qualify. Please reach out with questions should this apply to you.
WHO ARE YOUR CLIENTS?
Vital Parts Psychotherapy serves individual adolescents & adults aging 16+. Alissa has a long history of working with neurodiverse individuals, individuals facing major life transitions, individuals with c-ptsd & complex relationships, individuals navigating chronic illness, and individuals experiencing grief and loss.
WHY OFFER VIRTUAL THERAPY RATHER THAN IN-PERSON SESSIONS?
Virtual psychotherapy offers unparalleled convenience, allowing clients to participate in sessions from the comfort of their own homes, which can reduce barriers to access. This format often leads to increased flexibility in scheduling, enabling clients to prioritize their mental health without the constraints of travel time. Additionally, the virtual setting can foster a sense of safety and ease, encouraging more open communication and deeper engagement in the therapeutic process. It also allows our chronically ill clients to access care more consistently with fewer limitations.
Offering virtual psychotherapy allows services to be accessed by a broader public, including rural and under-served populations, and virtual formats insures Vital Parts Psychotherapy can serve the entire state of Colorado and South Carolina, rather than a strict locale.
WHAT IS YOUR SCHEDULING/ CANCELLATION POLICY?
